These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Etuno Names at etunonames.com and related services. By using the site, creating an account, or submitting content, you agree to these Terms.
Effective 1 July 2026. Last updated 1 July 2026.
Etuno Names is a community-built dictionary of Igarra (Etuno) names and their meanings. We provide the platform; contributors and editors supply much of the content. We do not guarantee that every entry is complete or error-free.
Some features, such as submitting names, require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you register.
When you submit a name, meaning, correction, or other material (“User Content”), you represent that:
By submitting User Content, you grant Etuno Names a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and share that content on the site and in related materials (for example, search results, social previews, and newsletters) so we can operate and promote the dictionary.
Submissions may be reviewed before publication. We may approve, edit, reject, or remove any content at our discretion, including content that appears inaccurate, duplicate, off-topic, or inconsistent with the project's goals. We are not obliged to publish every submission.
Name meanings and pronunciations reflect community knowledge and contributor input. They are provided for cultural and educational purposes and should not be treated as legal, genealogical, or professional advice. If you see an error, please use the feedback option on a name page or contact us.
You agree not to:
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we may send updates about the project. You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter email, or from our unsubscribe page. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your email address.
The site design, branding, and original materials are owned by Etuno Names or its licensors. User Content remains yours, subject to the licence you grant us above. Please respect the cultural heritage the project represents.
The site may link to external pages or use third-party services (such as hosting and email). We are not responsible for those services' content or practices.
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Etuno Names is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on dictionary entries.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
